A masterpiece of engineering and design, Luminosity is one of the most significant yachts built in the past decade, on many levels. The perfect melding of technology, engineering and aesthetics.
Space is paramount on board, with a massive volume of 5,844 GRT. Throughout the main deck, the minimum ceiling height of three metres speaks volumes, and amazing views and natural light are courtesy of 811m2 of floor to ceiling glass. The owner’s stateroom covers over 150 sumptuous square metres of sleeping, relaxing and working spaces; in its bathroom, the hydromassage spa was carved from the same marble as Michelangelo’s David. The further 11 beautifully designed cabins across three decks accommodate 27 guests in comfort and elegance.
The most striking feature is arguably the central glass stairwell and glass box elevator with an illuminated floor. Backed by a 370m2 interactive LED wall that stretches across five decks, the digital display responds to movement, causing guests to create the installation as they use the staircase. Another artistic feature is the dining room’s stunning chandelier, made from 700 hand-blown crystal bulbs.
She boasts an array of spaces that make her ideal for multi-generational living. The stunning 230m2 beach club with counter-flow swimming pool, plunge pool, gym, hammam, massage room, bar, lounging and dining areas. It’s all designed for relaxation, socialising and good times.
Future-proofing in terms of sustainability is throughout. The cutting-edge hybrid diesel-electric propulsion features clean exhausts and a battery bank for 12 hours of silent operation at anchor. There is also the chance of converting when technology such as hydrogen fuel cells are refined for use onboard yachts. And the bespoke heat recovery system takes heat from the diesel generators and uses it for the swimming pool and jacuzzi.
