H3 garnered the prestigious award for Best Rebuilt Yacht at the World Superyacht Awards Gala in Venice. And it truly is outstanding: technically, aesthetically, sustainably.
Launched in 2000 as Al Mirqab for the Prime Minister of Qatar, she underwent an astonishing transformation in 2022, where she was extended from 95 to 105 metres in a coup of technology and engineering. Today, this masterpiece of maritime design is a testament to Oceanco’s unrivalled craftsmanship and technical prowess. And she comes with a full shipyard new build warranty.
Most of the hull remains, but almost everything else has been updated inside and out by Reymond Langton Design. Words like resplendent, elegant, splendour and lavish trip off the tongue easily, but here they are merely understatements. For the cutting-edge design of the steel hull and twin 3,862 MTU engines for a top speed of 18 knots, she turns heads. But what is beyond is even more astonishing: the timeless and sophisticated interiors of Reymond Langton Design, with neutral tones, textures and intricate patterns, and floor-to-ceiling windows that flood every room with bright natural light.
H3 can accommodate up to 20 guests in 10 meticulously designed staterooms. The huge forward-facing owner suite complete with two en suites, walk-in wardrobes and lounge area plus a 180° panoramic view. A VIP suite also has two en suites, a private lounge and its own deck, while the rest of the guest accommodation comprises of five doubles and three twin staterooms. A dedicated crew of 33 is on hand 24/7.
This really is the perfect yacht for hosting lavish events, with vast living spaces across her bridge deck, with floor-to-ceiling windows everywhere. A standout feature is the interactive video wall that reflects the motion of the boat and the direction of the sea, creating an aquarium-like passageway between her main deck welcome lounge and main salon. There’s a dedicated wellness area on the lower deck, complete with beauty salon, massage room and hammam, as well as a state-of-the-art gym on the top deck.
Outside doesn’t disappoint. Whether it’s taking a dip in the infinity pool at the aft deck or soaking up the sun – and checking out the panoramic views – by the bar and forward-facing whirlpool, this vessel has it all. The main deck has areas for sunbathing, alfresco dining, entertainment with a massive TV for cinema under the stars, and swimming in the concealable pool. Steps lead down to a state-of-the-art beach club, with more seating and dining areas and a fold-down swim platform.
And all this knowing that her operational footprint has been reduced by at least 60%, by reducing nitrous oxide emissions.
